One-on-one with Sophomore standout Evan Bradford
About a month ago I noticed that the SBAA had resumed their profiles on community runners. I got to thinking and thought how it could be kind of fun to do a San Marcos version of runner profiles on our distance squad. So, this is our first San Marcos Distance Profile, featuring sophomore Evan Bradford. Mr. Bradford has turned out to be quite the distance runner in his first two years as a Royal. Besides that of his natural talent on the track he is an easy, laid-back kind of kid who is always very cheerful, good humored and ready to go to work once he steps foot onto his track. He is not to be taken lightly once he is on the track. His fear is felt from the 800 meters all the way up to the 3200 meter races! In his 800 meter races, Mr. Bradford turns into a machine who runs people down in the final 250 meters. In the 1600 meter races, he turns into a stealthy, but feared stallion whose strength can seen by all! In the 3200 meter races, it appears that he can click off .75 second laps for three miles! His running form is smooth and natural. He can be scary focused while in races, but responds well to us coaches on the sidelines who have seen the look of fire in his eyes…
